the camino experience

What can you expect from a Camino wedding?

For starters we are an owner-operated and women-led venue which means you are not working with a corporate wedding mill. You are working with an owner that has invested so much into making Camino the perfect setting for your day. You can expect a personal experience with prompt (almost lightening fast!) responses to your wedding planning questions and a truly one-of-a kind backdrop for your dream wedding.

Camino operates under the philosophy that all are welcome here!  We do not discriminate and welcome all couples to our place of business.

Our mission is to curate memorable experiences from start to finish by going above and beyond for our clients, guests, and vendors, and being helpful and friendly to everyone.

Now, let’s get this party started!

Krysta Marino

Owner and Operator

Hi! I am the new heartbeat behind Camino Real Ranch. I took over the reigns as owner and operator in 2024 after working at the property as a wedding planner since 2020.

I grew up planning and designing events as long as I could remember but was able to realize exactly what I loved about it while working for the Disney College Program in Orlando Florida. I came home from my internship and dove head first into wedding and event planning in the Austin Area and haven’t looked back since!

My dream has been to own a wedding venue that can house all of your dreams and bring them to life. Getting to step into this role as owner of Camino Real Ranch is the realization of all of those hopes and dreams come true and I am so glad you are here for the journey.

Jenn & Nicole

Founders

Jenn and Nicole found Camino Real Ranch when it was still an active farm and turned it into a wedding venue dream come true! I would not be able to present the venue that you see today to you without the legacy that these two women left behind. Jenn and Nicole are most likely who you have worked with in the past and I aim to fill the shoes of excellence that they have left behind.

The Camino History

Established in 2019, Camino Real Ranch is rich in farm history. Camino’s farmhouse, cabin, and barn date back to the 1940s when the property was a pig farm.

The farm fell into the hands of the lovely former owners turned close Camino friends, Mike and Vanessa Torres. They established Heart of Gold Farm and purchased our gorgeous greenhouse from a rose farm in Smithville. They began growing organic produce supporting food banks in the local central Texas area. They gave the property its charm, building the Quonset Hut and outfitting the farm with authentic tipis from Oregon.

A property tax record search led the now Camino Real Ranch owners to the former Heart of Gold owners and the rest is history. Serendipitously, Mike and Vanessa are industry pros! The universe truly has a way of bringing people into your path at the moment they are needed the most. Camino Real Ranch would not have been possible without the support of our former owners advice, support, and encouragement along the way.
